The Details

Our customer needed a complex display program built for national retail:

  • 19 different SKUs
  • 79 total items per display
  • Significant corrugated structural components
  • Portions of the display required hand gluing, adding meaningful labor time to every unit

Under standard conditions, the program was scoped at seven days with a team of 23 people. But to keep the program moving on time, our team quickly increased staffing from 23 to 33 people, designed a highly organized production line and deployed overtime strategically as needed with a tightening window. And we worked together—leadership from nearly every department stepped in to provide hands-on support and guidance. We maintained direct, real-time communication with our customer through daily coordination and continuous updates, enabling fast decisions and eliminating delays so that our customer was updated every step of the way.

There were a lot of moving parts and some timing uncertainty on critical materials in a rushed execution. Despite those challenges, we had all 1,274 displays picked up within five days, with the first shipment ready just two days after production began. The result? A happy customer who expressed clear appreciation for the effort, execution quality and commitment the team brought to the table.

As we noted in last month’s analysis of our club store pallet execution, what stands out about this project and similar ones is what it reflects about where co-packing is headed. Flexibility, specifically the ability to pivot quickly, has become just as important as scale. Even greater agility is now a core expectation. Communication has taken on a new level of urgency—staying closely aligned with customers as conditions change has become essential to making timely decisions. Co-packers are no longer operating at arm’s length—they are deeply integrated into their customers’ supply chains.

Retail complexity continues to grow. High-SKU display builds, multi-component packaging and strict compliance requirements are now the standard, even as timelines compress and consumer brands face mounting pressure to execute flawlessly at the shelf. This project reminded us that reliability drives long-term growth and is core to seamless execution. Completing this program didn’t just meet an immediate need—it strengthened trust, reinforced partnership and led to continued business with our customer.

For brands navigating the ongoing disruption, having a reliable partner in place can make all the difference between falling behind and moving forward. Let’s chat today!
