We use a variety of display and packaging methods at South Atlantic, ProStar, and Versatile to help our customers’ products stand out at retail. In this month’s educational feature, we’re spotlighting one of the most impactful merchandising solutions: pallet displays.
So, what is a pallet display?
It’s a marketing and merchandising display built on a wooden or plastic pallet that’s ready to be placed right on the sales floor. Available in ¼, ½, or full-pallet sizes, these displays are commonly seen in high traffic areas, such as entry ways or promotional areas of major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Home Depot.
Most pallet displays are made from corrugated materials, but more permanent versions may use steel, plastic, or wire. In some cases, no special display materials are needed — the product’s packaging itself does the marketing when stacked neatly on a pallet.
Pallet displays are designed to be visually appealing, easy to set up, and ready for immediate sales, often requiring little effort from store staff. Their 360-degree design gives shoppers full access to multiple products, varieties, and sizes while maximizing retail impact.
To ensure a smooth process, it’s essential for your corrugated supplier and co-packer to be aligned — each retailer has unique size and structure requirements, so clear communication between your materials vendor and co-packing team helps ensure your display meets every need.
